The PGA’s Producers Mark certification process serves to identify which producers performed a majority of the producing functions on a particular motion picture in a decision-making capacity. Producers who meet this standard may be licensed the Producers Mark for use next to their names in the onscreen credits and advertisements for a particular motion picture.

The Producers Mark determination will establish which producers are eligible for the Producers Guild Awards for that motion picture and may be relied upon by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and other awards organizations in determining which producers may be deemed eligible for their producing honors.

Each year in January, the PGA celebrates the finest producing work of the year in motion pictures and television productions at the Producers Guild Awards.

The PGA honors excellence in the following categories: theatrical, animated and documentary motion pictures; as well as drama, comedy, Limited or Anthology Series, streamed or televised motion pictures, non-fiction, live entertainment & talk television, competition & game, children’s, sports and short form programs.

The PGA will evaluate which individual producers are eligible for honors in accordance with the rules of the particular category. The PGA’s determinations may be relied upon by other awards organizations in determining which producers may be deemed eligible for their producing honors.
